SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 3 perches, more or less, being Reserve 4025, Block IV, Geraldine Survey District, formerly Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block IX, South Rangitata Township, Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, and 14, Block X, South Rangitata Township, and a closed road formerly portion of Edward Street in the aforesaid township. Bounded towards the north-west by Francis Street, 250 links; towards the north-east by Sections 5 and 6, Block IX aforesaid, 150 links; again towards the north-west by Section 6, Block IX aforesaid, by Edward Street, and by Sections 3 and 10, Block X aforesaid, 904·8 links; again towards the north-east by Cooper Street, 421·1 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 1176·2 links; and towards the south-west by Clogstoun Street, 570·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/644, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a public recreation-ground.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section 8, Block IV, Cairnhill Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east south-east, and south-west by Crown land, 400, 250, and 400 links respectively; and towards the north-west by Crown land and the abutment of a road, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 8/9/49, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For the use of the Agricultural Department.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Declaring Road-lines through Land in Mangateparu Settlement, Auckland Land District, to be closed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

MANGATEPARU SETTLEMENT.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road required to be closed:—

Situated in Block XIV, Waitoa Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/102, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this eighteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Notice as to Change of Purpose of a Reserve.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS, by notice issued pursuant to section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, dated the sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, the purpose for which the reserve described in the Schedule hereto was set apart was changed from a site for a drill-shed to a site for public buildings of the General Government:

And whereas the said notice was laid before Parliament pursuant to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and no resolution has been passed by either House of Parliament that such House does not assent to such change of purpose:

And whereas it is provided by the said section seven that, if no such resolution is passed by either House, then, from and after the termination of the then session of Parliament, such change of purpose, in accordance with the terms of the notice, shall be valid and effectual for all purposes whatsoever:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that no such resolution as aforesaid has been passed by either House of Parliament, and that the change of purpose as set forth in the notice aforesaid has taken effect accordingly as from the tenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen (being the date of the termination of the session during which the notice aforesaid was laid before Parliament).

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 19 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 374, Town of Gisborne, commencing at a point on the south-east side of Customhouse Street 282·2 links from the junction of that street and Gladstone Road. Bounded towards the north-west by Customhouse Street, 61 links; towards the south-west by other part of Sec-374, 205·6 links; towards the south-east by Read’s Quay, 63·1 links; and towards the north-east by other part of Section 374, 187·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Scenic Reserve Inspectors appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ISAAC PATTERSON,
THOMAS PHILLIPS, and
EDWARD JOHN SCANTLEBURY

to be Inspectors under the said Act in respect to the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

MOUNT COURTNEY SCENIC RESERVE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 4,300 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 7, situated in Blocks I, II, III, V, and VI, Inangahua Survey District. As the same is more particularly described in a Warrant dated the 30th day of January, 1907, and published in Gazette of the 7th February, 1907, pages 451–2.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
