Revoking War Regulations as to Certificates for Imported Goods.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fifteenth day of December, 1919.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR WILLIAM FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the War Regulations Act, 1914, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby revoke the War Regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto and providing for certificates in respect of imported goods.

SCHEDULE.

WAR REGULATIONS REVOKED.

REGULATIONS 1 to 12 inclusive and the Schedules to the War Regulations made by Order in Council dated and gazetted the 13th October, 1916.

War Regulations as to certificates of interest made by Order in Council dated and gazetted the 26th March, 1917.

War Regulations made by Order in Council dated the 25th November, 1918, and gazetted the 28th November, 1918.

War Regulations made by Order in Council dated the 8th April, 1919, and gazetted the 15th April, 1919.

WHEREAS provision has been made by the Undesirable Immigrants Exclusion Act, 1919, to prevent the entry into New Zealand of undesirable immigrants :

The Old Government Buildings (depicted) were completed in 1876 and initially housed the entire Wellington-based civil service as well as the entire New Zealand Cabinet. The Executive Council met there until 1948.
