the said Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/12 of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property of the Wairoa Riding of the said county; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following object: The erection and completion of the following bridges, culverts, and works in the Turanga Riding of the said county, together in each case with all necessary formation, metalling, and completing of roads and approaches thereto—

the said Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜ of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property of the Turanga Special Rating Area, being that portion of the Turanga Riding lying to the east of the Maungamaungaroa Creek; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also for the other charges on a loan of £1,400, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for acquiring land for road and road-construction, Kawiu-Foxton Road, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Foxton-Kawiu Road Special Rating District, comprising Horowhenua B 36, Sections A 2A, A 2B, A 3; part 1D; 1C No. 1, 1C No. 2, 1C No. 2A; 1E 1B, 1E 1C, 1E 4A, 1E 4C, 1E 1A, 1E 4D; 1E No. 2, 1E No. 3, 1E No. 5, and 1E No. 6; 3H; 3H 2, 3H 2A, 3H 3, and 3H 4; 2L 1B, 2L 1C, 2L No. 2, 2L 4A, 2L 4C, 2L 4D; Mairua, Lots 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, and 35; Manawatu-Kukutauaki 7D 3, Sections 6 and 7, Lots 55B, 55C, 60A, 61, and 64, Blocks I Waiopehu, XIII Mount Robinson, and IV Moutere. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Brown Bros. (Limited) held on Thursday, 20th November, 1919, the following special resolution was passed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

This special resolution was confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on Monday, 8th December, 1919, and A. G. FRANKHAM, of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator.
