UAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to Part II of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, this Council has decided, by resolution, that the provisions of this Part of this Act shall be brought into operation in this county on and from Wednesday, the 10th day of December, 1919.

A full copy of the regulations mentioned may be seen at the office of the county during office hours.

NATIONAL CO-OPERATIVE AGENCY (LIMITED).

In compliance with subsection (6) of section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908; and in compliance with subsection (b) of section 220 of the Companies Act, 1908; and in compliance with section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held on the 7th day of November, 1919, the following special resolution was passed, and confirmed at a second extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on the 25th day of November, 1919.

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. Thomas Edward Whitton, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council of the Levels County hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Council of the Levels County, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling roads in the Otipua Point and Claremont Ridings of the Levels County, the said Council of the Levels County hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area comprising the Otipua Point and Claremont Ridings of the Levels County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of March, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at the company’s office, Kaiwarra, Wellington, on Monday, 29th day of December, 1919, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, to receive from the Liquidator of the said company his report and statement showing the manner in which the said liquidation has been carried out and the assets of the company disposed of.

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Patangata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, a public road in the Patangata County; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the Lake Station Homestead, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during reasonable hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days of the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the said County Council at his office at Waipukurau.

THE SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land containing 4 acres 1 rood 32 perches, more or less, situate in the Motuotaria Survey District, being that portion of Eparaima G 2 Block shown upon a Public Works plan deposited in the Survey Office at Napier under No. 580 (green), a copy of which plan is lodged for inspection at the Lake Station Homestead, and thereon coloured blue.

OTAUA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR THE UPPER OTAUA SPECIAL RATING AREA LOAN OF £400.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Otaua Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of four hundred pounds (£400), authorized to be raised by the Otaua Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of improving the drainage of the Upper Otaua by clearing, widening, and otherwise improving the present watercourse, the said Otaua Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-twelfths of a penny (5/12d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Upper Otaua Special Rating Area, being all that area in the Otaua Drainage District comprising parts Sections 43, 58, 59, 168, 169, 170, 171, 173, 174, 175, 176, 177, 178, 179, Waiuku West Parish, situated in Blocks III and V, Maioro Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off. 900
