for the purpose of forming and metalling a portion of the
Ohinewai-Tahuna Road within the Hapuakohe Special Rating
District as hereinafter defined, the Waikato County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and
three farthings in the pound on all rateable property in the
Hapuakohe Special Rating District, comprising all that por-
tion of the County of Waikato hereinafter described; and
that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of February in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

And that the Hapuakohe Special Rating District herein-
before mentioned shall consist of all that area in the County
of Waikato and Parish of Taupiri bounded, commencing at
the north-eastern corner of Allotment 474c, by the boundary
between the Waikato County and the Piako County to the
eastern corner of Allotment 478a; thence by a block of land
originally granted to the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile
Agency Company (Limited) by a grant dated the 20th day of
July, 1876, to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 478;
thence by the last-named allotment and Allotment 476 to
the south-western corner of Allotment 460; thence by Allot-
ment 475 and Allotment 431 to the north-eastern corner of
the last-named allotment; thence by a line across a road
and Allotment 412 to the north-eastern corner of the last-
named allotment; thence by Allotments 477 and 474c and
a line across a road to the north-western corner of Allot-
ment 440; thence by a road intersecting Allotment 474c
and a road reserve to the western corner of Allotment 474c;
thence by Allotments 405, 505, 506, and 500 to the com-
mencing-point.

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of interest and principal and other charges on a loan
of five thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the
Waikato County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of providing the amount necessary to enable
the Waikato County Council to comply with an Order of
His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand under
section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the ninth
day of April, 1918, whereby the Waikato County Council
was authorized to construct a bridge over the Waikato River
at Horotiu, with approaches, and it was ordered that the
Waikato County Council should pay two-thirds of the cost
of such bridge, the said Waikato County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth of a penny
in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable
property of the whole of the County of Waikato; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of February in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £1,000 FOR
ROADMAN'S COTTAGE, AWAHOU RIDING.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it the
Council of the County of Pohangina hereby resolves,
by way of special order, as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds
(£1,000), authorized to be raised by consent of the ratepayers
in the Awahou Roadman's Cottage Special Rating Area, and
by the Pohangina County Council, under the provisions of
the Counties Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, and amendments thereto, for the purpose of purchas-
ing land and erecting thereon a roadman's cottage for the
Awahou Riding roadman (the cost of raising the loan is to
be paid out of the loan), the Pohangina County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a
penny in the pound on the capital rateable value of all the
rateable property in the Awahou Roadman's Cottage Special
Rating Area, the same being Sections 22 to 50, Block X, 1 to
52, Block XIV, and Section 1, Block XV, all in the Pohangina
S.D.; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan, and to be paid half-
yearly on the first days of August and October in each and
every year, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36 1/2)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

charges on a loan of £18,500, authorized to be raised by the
Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,

and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the first day of June and the first day of December in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
