Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block IX, Waihua Survey District, Wairoa County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block IX, Waihua Survey District, Wairoa County:
And whereas the Wairoa County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—

2 2 31·2 Portion of Block 41; coloured red.
0 0 16·8 " 23 " blue.
All of Mohaka Block, situated in Block IX, Waihua Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.).
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46790, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a Road in Block IX, Waihua Survey District, Wairoa County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation or Order in Council taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation or Order in Council or the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor-General may, by a subsequent Proclamation or Order in Council gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation or Order in Council either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:
And whereas it is found that part of the land taken for the purposes of a road in Block IX, Waihua Survey District, Wairoa County, by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 115, page 2879, of the 18th day of the same month, is incorrectly described;
And whereas compensation in respect of the land taken by the said Proclamation has not been paid or awarded:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects that portion of land, containing 2 acres 3 roods 8 perches, described in the said Proclamation as portion of Block 41 (Mohaka Block), Block IX, Waihua Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section two hundred and forty of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as roads the road-lines described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the road-lines proclaimed as roads: 9 acres 1 rood 28·01 perches.
Adjoining or passing through portion of Hikairo Native Township (being part Taurewa No. 4 West D Block), situated in Blocks I and III, Waimanu Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47482, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the road described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused, and that the said road intersects land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and is not suitable to the subdivision of such land;
