NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held at Tau-marunui on the seventeenth day of November, 1919, the following extraordinary resolution was passed, viz.:-That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be would up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that Mr. HAROLD SIMMONDS, of Auckland, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in the matter of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairoa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto as a site for the erection and establishment of a public hospital.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of Arthur Henry Hibbard Unwin, the Assistant Secretary of the said Board, situate in Marine Parade, Wairoa, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during office hours. All persons affected by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary of the said Board at Wairoa.
THE SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land situate in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing fifty-seven acres one rood and twenty-four and two-tenths perches, more or less, being parts of Paeroa Number 1& Number 2 and Number 1& Number 6 Blocks, comprised in Block One, Clyde Survey District, and Block Seventeen, Opoiti Survey District.

CARTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESULT OF POLL UNDER SECTION 37 OF THE RATING ACT, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of section 39 of the Rating Act, 1908, that the proposal to adopt the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof in the Borough of Carterton was submitted to a poll of ratepayers on the 26th day of November, 1919, and declared carried. The number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal was 277, and the number against the proposal was 133.
In the terms of section 40 of the aforesaid Act, the system of rating on the unimproved value of property in the Borough of Carterton will operate from and after the thirty-first day of March, 1920.

NEW BY-LAW No. 16.-HEAVY TRAFFIC.
Resolution (intended to take effect as a Special Order) making an Additional By-law for the County of Hawke's Bay.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of the amendments of those Acts respectively.
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Hawke's Bay is of opinion that the conduct of heavy traffic has caused or will cause serious injury to the undermentioned roads, namely:-The road running from the south-western boundary of the Borough of Napier through Greenmeadows, Wharerangi, Rissington, and Patoka to the post-office at Puketitiri
The road branching off from the Napier-Greenmeadows Road at a point distant three miles and a half, more or less, from the Napier Post-office, and leading into the Greenmeadows-Wharerangi Road
The road running from the north-western boundary of the Borough of Napier through Westshore to the Petane Hotel corner
The two roads running from the Petane Hotel corner to the road junction on the eastern boundary of Block No. 4, Eskdale
The road running from the junction aforesaid through Eskdale and Te Pohue to the Titiokura Saddle
The road running from the north-western boundary of the Borough of Hastings to the turn-off to Fernhill, and thence south-westerly to the road junction on the western boundary of Ngatarawa Number 4 Block
