WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Hapuakohe Special Rating District was taken on the 19th day of November, 1919, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of forming and metalling a portion of the Ohinewai–Tahuna Road within the Hapuakohe Special Rating District.
The total number of votes recorded was 12; the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 12, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 0.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Newmarket was taken on the 19th day of November, 1919, on the proposal of the Newmarket Borough Council to borrow the sum of £3,500 for storm-water drainage-works.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 47, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 37; informal, 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a poll of ratepayers of the Kaihu Valley Drainage District taken on the 11th day of November, 1919, on the proposal to borrow £1,000 to carry out specified drainage-works in the Kaihu Valley Drainage District, the number of votes recorded was as follows: For the proposal, 13; against the proposal, nil.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Kawhia South Special Rating Area taken on the 22nd day of November, 1919, on the proposal of the Kawhia County Council to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of metalling portion of the Marokopa Valley Road, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 21, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 5; the number of informal votes was 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated at Kawhia this 28th day of November, 1919.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Waiharakeke and Taharoa Ridings of the County of Kawhia taken on the 22nd day of November, 1919, on the proposal of the Kawhia County Council to borrow the sum of £3,350 for the purpose of metalling the Kinohaku–Lemon Point Road and portions of the Kawhia–Marokopa River and Mangapohue Roads, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 65, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 26.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
