Alterations to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.

IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government Railways Act, 1908, and its amendments, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in the scale of fares, rates, and charges in force on the New Zealand Government railways open for traffic, such alterations to come into force on and after the 18th day of December, 1919.

PART I.—PASSENGERS.

GENERAL FARES AND REGULATIONS.

Cancel—
Single tickets for distances over 20 miles are available for three days, including date of issue.
Return tickets for distances over 10 miles are available for return for three days, including date of issue.
Inter-Island tickets, both single and return, are available for four days, including date of issue.
Return tickets will not be issued for distances over 100 miles.
The currency of tickets will terminate at 12 o’clock midnight.

Insert,—
Except in the case of suburban lines—
Single tickets for distances over 20 miles are available for four days, including date of issue.
Return tickets for distances over 10 miles are available for return for one month, including date of issue.
The currency of all tickets will terminate at 12 o’clock midnight.

Holiday Excursion Tickets.

Insert—
12. After public notification in each case, return excursion tickets, as per schedule following, may be issued on the New Zealand Government Railways on such holidays and special occasions, and available for return for such period, as may be arranged for by the Department.
