Additional Land at Greatford taken for the Purposes of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway, and for Road-diversions in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway, and for road-diversions in connection therewith, to take further land at Greatford, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 26499, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-second day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Land in Taranaki Land District declared to be subject to Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Taranaki Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix two years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 16, Block XV, Tangitu Survey District: 1st January, 1920.
