exported from, any place which on the said fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, was situated in any of the following States—namely, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Turkey; and doth further hereby declare the goods shall be deemed to be manufactured or produced in a place situated in the said States of Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Turkey if not less than five per centum of the fair market value thereof, as estimated in accordance with the provisions of the Customs Act, 1913, with respect to goods liable to ad valorem duty, has its source in such States; provided always that the territories of Alsace-Lorraine shall not be deemed to be part of the State of Germany for the purposes of this Order in Council.

Additional Regulations as to Interpreters under the Native Land Act, 1909.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four hundred and fifteen of the Native Land Act, 1909, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following additional regulations with respect to Interpreters under the said Act.
REGULATIONS.

A LICENSED Interpreter shall not be the holder of a license under the Money-lenders Act, 1908.

No Interpreter shall translate or certify to the translation of any document to which he is a party or in matters in which he is personally interested or concerned.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the Borough of Palmers-ton North of a Width less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft.

At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of November, 1919.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and seventy-eight of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that where the configuration of any borough is such as that within any particular area or areas thereof it is difficult or inexpedient to lay off streets of the width of sixty-six feet, as required by the said Act, the Governor-General may, by Order in Council defining the limits of such particular area or areas, authorize the Council to permit within such area or areas the laying-off of streets and private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet :
And whereas the configuration of part of the Borough of Palmerston North is such that within the area described in the Schedule hereto it is inexpedient to construct a street of sixty-six feet in width :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Palmerston North Borough Council to permit the laying-off of a street of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet within the area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Palmerston North, being part of Sections 854 and 856, Town of Palmerston North. As the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47310, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the Borough of Newmarket of a Width less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of November, 1919.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-five of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, it is, inter alia, provided that the Governor-General may by Order in Council authorize the Council to lay out or permit to be laid out streets and private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet, for the purpose of connecting blind streets with other streets, but no such connecting street of a greater length than five chains shall be so authorized :
And whereas New Street in the Borough of Newmarket is a blind street, and the Newmarket Borough Council has applied for permission to lay out a street less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet, for the purpose of connecting the said New Street with George Street in the said borough :
And whereas the connecting street is not of a greater length than five chains, and it is expedient to authorize the laying-out of the connecting street described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said connecting street”) :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Newmarket Borough Council to lay off the said connecting street between New Street and George Street in the Borough of Newmarket.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Newmarket, connecting New Street with George Street, and passing through part of Allotment 27, Section 3, Suburbs of Auckland. As the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46973, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Consenting to stopping a Road in Block V, Mapara Survey District, Waitomo County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of November, 1919.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor-General, by Order in Council gazetted, is obtained :
And whereas the Waitomo County Council has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waitomo County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.
