A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native
Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land
described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more

Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents
of the owners of the land adjoining the streets described in
the Schedule hereto, and of the Christchurch City Council,
being the local authority in whcse district the said land is
situated, proclaim as closed the streets in the City of Christ-
church described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of streets closed : 39 perches
and 20 perches.
Being portions of Towpath, situated in the City of Christ-
church (Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44249,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Allowing the Importation of Goods manufactured or produced
in Belgium, Northern France, and Alsace-Lorraine.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington this seventeenth
day of November, 1919.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Customs Act,
1913, as extended by section two of the Regulation
of Trade and Commerce Amendment Act, 1915, it is enacted
that the Governor-General may by Order in Council prohibit
the importation into New Zealand of any goods the prohibi-
tion of the importation of which is in his opinion necessary
in the public interest :

And whereas by Order in Council dated the tenth day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, His Ex-
cellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
on him as aforesaid, did prohibit, to the extent appearing
in the said Order in Council, the importation of goods manu-
factured or produced in or exported from enemy territory
as therein defined, including territory then in the occupation
of the enemy :

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is
necessary in the public interest that the said Order in Council
should be revoked, so far as it affects territory then in the
occupation of the enemy :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the authority
conferred upon him by the Acts aforesaid, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of that Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-
recited Order in Council of the tenth day of April, one thou-
sand nine hundred and seventeen, and doth hereby prohibit
the importation into New Zealand, save with the consent of
the Minister of Customs, of any goods which, whether before
or after the fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred
and fourteen, have been manufactured or produced in, or
