Settlement Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—CROUCHER SETTLEMENT.
PARTS Sections 14, 34, and 36, Block VI, Hillend Survey District: Area, 277 acres 2 roods 13 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Additional Land at Dunedin taken for the Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to take further land at Dunedin, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 37·3 perches. Portion of Otago Harbour Board Endowment, City of Dunedin.
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 26045, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Land in Block X, Mangamuka Survey District, Hokianga County, set apart as a Site for a Sawmill in connection with Pukete State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Crown land, and is required to be set apart as a site for a sawmill, in connection with Pukete State Forest, in Block X, Mangamuka Survey District, Hokianga County:
And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work the Governor-General may at any time, by Proclamation, set the same apart for such public work without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect of the taking or setting-apart of other lands for such purpose:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a railway sawmill site in connection with Pukete State Forest; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
