recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land
comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be
specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum
Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified
the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to
the provisions of the Land Act, 1908:
And whereas the Land Board of the North Auckland Land
District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the
portion of the Molesworth No. 2 Kauri-gum Reserve described
in the Schedule hereto be excepted from the operations of
the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give
effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and autho-
rity conferred upon me by section forty-six of the Land
Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the portion of
the Molesworth No. 2 Kauri-gum Reserve described in the
Schedule hereto shall, from the twentieth day of October,
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, cease to be subject
to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 32 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less,
being Allotment 257, Parish of Mangawai, and being part
of the Molesworth No. 2 Kauri-gum Reserve, set apart by
Order in Council dated 21st day of August, 1899, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette of 24th August, 1899,
page 1555. Bounded towards the north by the other portion
of the said Molesworth No. 2 Kauri-gum Reserve, the crossing
of a public road, and again by the aforesaid Kauri-gum
Reserve, 1686·3, 100·2, and 858·5 links respectively; towards
the east by a public road, 469·4 links; towards the south-east
by the crossing of a public road and by a public road, 1610·7
links; towards the south-west by Allotment 65 of the
aforesaid Parish of Mangawai, 800 links, and by the crossing
of a public road; again towards the south-east by the last-
mentioned road, 135·9 links; and again towards the south-
west generally by a public road, 381·6, 684·2, and 84·1 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: save and except
the public roads which intersect the hereinbefore-described
area. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 9/539, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Southland.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said
Act”), I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-
shooting season in Stewart Island (exclusive of all sanctu-
aries therein), being part of the Southland Acclimatization
District, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the
form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.
-
RED deer (stags only) may be taken or killed in Stewart
Island (exclusive of all sanctuaries therein), being part of the
Southland Acclimatization District, from the 20th day of
March, 1920, to the 31st day of May, 1920, both days in-
clusive. -
Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the
Chief Postmaster at Invercargill on payment of a license fee
of £4 4s., in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and
subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number
of such licenses shall not exceed six, provided that not more
than one such license shall be issued to the same person. -
No licensee shall take or kill more than two stags, and
no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than ten
points. -
No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext
whatever, and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany
either himself or any attendant he may have with him. -
Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing
any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. -
Regulations as to deer “tags,” per New Zealand Gazette
No. 40, Vol. I, of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly
adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall
return all unused “tags” to the secretary of the Southland
Acclimatization Society, Invercargill, immediately he has
finished stalking for the season for which such “tags” have
been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer
shot. -
Any person committing a breach of any of these regula-
tions shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

£4 4s., is hereby authorized to take or kill two deer (stags),
of not less than ten points, in Stewart Island (exclusive of
all sanctuaries therein), being part of the Southland Accli-

subject to the provisions of the Animals Protection Act,
1908, and all regulations thereunder in force within the said
district.
