AT the examination of candidates for a surveyor’s license held in September, 1919, under the Surveyors’ Institute and Board of Examiners Act, 1908, and conducted by the Federated Surveyors’ Boards of Australia and New Zealand, twenty-four candidates presented themselves in New Zealand. Five of these candidates succeeded in obtaining passes,—

Mr. T. F. Johnston, of Hamilton.
Mr. J. S. L. Deem, of Wanganui.
Mr. H. McK. Richardson, of Palmerston North.
Mr. G. F. Payne, of Wanganui.
