GONVILLE TOWN BOARD.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give public notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Gonville Town District was taken on the 29th day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the Gonville Town Board to borrow the sum of £4,500, to be called “The Gonville Town Board Recreation Reserve Loan of £4,500.”
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 157, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 40. I therefore declare such proposal to have been carried.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.—£10,000 Loan, Water-supply.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Feilding taken on the 1st day of October, 1919, on the proposal of the Feilding Borough Council to borrow the sum of £10,000 for the purpose of improving the water-supply, the number of votes recorded was as follows: For the proposal, 336; against the proposal, 300; informal, 14.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Opunake Harbour District was taken on the 25th day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the Opunake Harbour Board to borrow the sum of £50,000 for constructing harbour-works at the port of Opunake.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 203, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 37. I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12, subsection (1), of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Green Island was taken on the 8th day of October, 1919, on the proposal of the Green Island Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of purchasing a Soldiers Memorial Recreation-ground.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 125, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 237; informal, 5.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks XVI, XI, and VI, Ahikereru Survey District, Whakatane County, for the Purposes of Roadmen’s Paddocks.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of roadmen’s paddocks in Blocks XVI, XI, and VI, Ahikereru Survey District, Whakatane County; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ruatahuna, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
