Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Whangamarino Road District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WHANGAMARINO ROAD BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Whangamarino Special Rating Area of the Whangamarino Road District taken on the 27th day of August, 1919, on the proposal of the Whangamarino Road Board to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of reforming and metalling Whangamarino Station Road, and a portion of main South Road adjacent, and a portion of Black’s Road, in Section 152, Whangamarino Parish, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 20, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

EAST TAMAKI ROAD BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the East Tamaki Road District taken on the 23rd day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the East Tamaki Road Board to borrow the sum of £1,600 for purchase of recreation reserve, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 48, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 14.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of Ekatahuna, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Loan of £4,000.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Ekatahuna County was taken on the 24th day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the Ekatahuna County Council to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the purpose of purchasing road-making machinery.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 137, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 149.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

BOROUGH OF GORE.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Gore was taken on Wednesday, the 17th day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the Borough Council to borrow the sum of £12,000 for the purpose of the reconstruction and extension of electric light and power works of the Borough of Gore.

There were 281 votes recorded for and 24 against the proposal; informal votes, 2.

And I hereby declare the said proposal carried.

Dated at Gore this 19th day of September, 1919.

GONVILLE TOWN BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Gonville Town Board was taken on the 29th day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the Board to borrow a special loan of £50,000 to be called “the Drainage and Water-supply Extension and Street-construction Loan of £50,000.”

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 163, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 34.

I therefore declare such proposal to have been carried.
