PURSUANT to the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908, the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information :—

Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register.—Notice under the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.
NOTICE is hereby given that the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto are struck off the Mining Register of this Court, in accordance with the powers vested in me by the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in the Southland Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 29th September, 1919.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 17th November, 1919.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday, the 20th November, 1919, at 10 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Campbell Settlement.—Southland County.—Taringatura Survey District.
Section 1s, Block XXX: Area, 205 acres; capital value, £3,180; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £189; half-yearly rent on lease, £71 11s.
Buildings, £600. Instalment of interest and principal on buildings, £23 8s,
Section 2s, Block XXX: Area, 160 acres; capital value, £3,040; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £174 10s.; half-yearly rent on lease, £68 8s.
Buildings, £450. Instalment of interest and principal on buildings, £17 11s.
Section 3s, Block XXX: Area, 186 acres; capital value, £2,700; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £137; half-yearly rent on lease, £60 15s.
Buildings, £40 and £10. Instalment of interest and principal on buildings, £4 12s. 5d.
Section 4s, Block XXX: Area, 147 acres; capital value, £2,355; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £117 15s.; half-yearly rent on lease, £52 19s. 9d. Buildings, £10.
NOTE.—The deferred-payment instalments (with the exception of £10 each on Sections 3s and 4s) include payment for the buildings on or to be removed to the sections.
IMPROVEMENTS.
The improvements which go with the land are as follows:—
Section 1s.—130 chains boundary fence (half cost), 49 chains road fence, and 174 chains internal fences, valued at £106.
Section 2s.—110 chains boundary fence (half cost), 69 chains road fence, and 108 chains internal fences, valued at £99. Plantation and hedges valued at £12.
Section 3s.—124 chains boundary fence (half cost), 72 chains road fence, and 118 chains internal fences, valued at £106.
Section 4s.—135 chains boundary fence (half cost), 62 chains road fence, and 74 chains internal fences, valued at £82.
The improvements which do not go with the land, but which have to be paid for by the lessees, are as follows:—
Section 1s.—Buildings valued at £600, consisting of house of seven rooms, stable and cottage, cow-byre, wool-shed, motor-shed, and pigsty. Payable in cash or by forty-two half-yearly instalments of £23 8s. Total half-yearly payment on lease, £94 19s. A three-roomed house valued at £40 on this section to be removed to Section 3s at expense of lessee of Section 3s.
Section 2s.—Buildings valued at £450, consisting of house of seven rooms, stable, barn, pigsty, and hut. Payable in cash or by forty-two half-yearly instalments of £17 11s. Total half-yearly payments on lease, £85 19s. Hut on sledge, valued at £10, to be removed to Section 4s at expense of lessee of Section 4s.
Section 3s.—Buildings valued at £40, consisting of three-roomed hut (to be removed at lessee’s expense from Section 1s). Payable in cash or by ten half-yearly instalments of £4 12s. 5d. Total half-yearly payments on lease, £65 7s. 5d. Lessee to pay £10 in cash for sledge hut on this section.
Section 4s.—Lessee to remove at own expense hut on sledge from Section 2s, and pay £10 in cash for same.
The Commissioner or his agent will point out to the lessees concerned the buildings above set down for removal to other sections.
SPECIAL CONDITION.
The areas as shown on sale plan are subject to alteration.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
Campbell Settlement is situated from two to four miles from Dipton Railway-station by good, level, gravelled road. Level land, of good quality; well watered; suitable for mixed farming.
