Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) G. N. Johnston, C.M.G., D.S.O., R.A., rejoined the British Army, is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. (to date 29th April, 1919), and is retaken on the strength of the N.Z.E.F. and appointed G.O. i/c Administration, N.Z.E.F., and G.O.C., N.Z.E.F., in U.K., vice Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Captain L. V. Porteous, M.B.E., is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst holding the appointment of Officer i/c Base Kit Depot. Dated 29th April, 1919.
