PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by
the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the
Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de
Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and
declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto,
being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the
Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite
their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take
and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-
and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace
Act, 1908.

Italian Consular Agents at Auckland, Wellington, Christ-
church, and Dunedin to receive Residue of Estates in certain
Cases.


PURSUANT to the provisions of the fifty-second section
of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and of section
twenty-eight, subsection (a), of the Public Trust Office Amend-
ment Act, 1913, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby notify that moneys or personal chattels
payable or deliverable by the Public Trustee to subjects of
the Kingdom of Italy who are resident therein may be paid
or delivered to the Consular Agent for the Kingdom of Italy
at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin re-
spectively, such Consular Agents having been represented to
me as the chief Consular officers of such Kingdom for the
Provincial Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury,
and Otago respectively of the Dominion of New Zealand.
The notification of the 18th February, 1919, pursuant to
the above section fifty-two of the Public Trust Office Act,
1908, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 28, of the
6th day of March, 1919, at page 650, is hereby revoked.

Given under my hand at Wellington this twenty-
eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred
and nineteen.

Amendment of the Regulations under the Public Service Act, 1912.


IN pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by
the Public Service Act, 1912 (hereinafter called “the said
Act”), the Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor-General
in Council, doth hereby, in respect of the amended regulations relating
to the examination of draughtsmen of the Lands and Survey Depart-
ment, made on the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen,
make the amendments shown in the Schedule hereto. Such amend-
ments shall have effect from and after the first day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and nineteen.


SCHEDULE.

REGULATION 4 is hereby amended by striking out the figures “£260”
whenever they occur, and substituting the figures “£300”; by striking
out the figures “£165,” and substituting the figures “£200”; by
striking out the figures “£95,” and substituting the figures “£120.”

As witness my hand this thirtieth day of August, one thousand
nine hundred and nineteen.
