Resuming Land for a Site for a Public School in Punakaiki
Survey District, Westland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of
the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said
Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General
in Council may by Proclamation resume possession of any
land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under any
corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his
opinion is required for any public purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land which is held on renewable lease from
His Majesty the King issued under Part III of the Land Act,
1908, dated the twenty-second day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen:
And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General the
land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a
public purpose—that is to say, for a site for a public school:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred
and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers
and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I,
Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that
I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under renewable lease as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

All that area of land in the Westland Land District, being
Reserve 972, Block I, Punakaiki Survey District (and formerly
portion of Section 3243), containing by admeasurement 1 acre,
more or less, bounded as follows: Starting at a point on
the eastern side of the North Road distant 543·1 links in a
south-westerly direction from the north-western corner of
Section 3243, Block I, Punakaiki Survey District; thence in
a south-easterly direction, 400 links; thence in a south-westerly direction, 250 links; thence in a north-westerly
direction, 400 links, to said North Road; thence along the
eastern side of the said North Road in a north-easterly
direction, 250 links, to the starting-point. As the same is
delineated upon the plan marked L. and S·6/6/134, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s
Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross
of the Most Excellent Order of the British
Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order,
Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of
Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-
in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion
of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and
issued under the Seal of the said Dominion,
at the Government House at Wellington, this
eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and
the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal
by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special
tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND.

SECTION 11, Block VI, Kawhia North Survey District: Area,
7 acres 3 roods 30 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s
Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross
