IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

THAT it is proved to the satisfaction of shareholders
that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the
same, and that it accordingly be wound up.

HOKIANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

COPY OF RESOLUTION CARRIED AT A MEETING HELD ON
THURSDAY, THE 7TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1919.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Hokianga
County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
for re-forming and metalling main roads in the Rawene Riding,
the said Hokianga County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of 1d. and 7/16ths of 1d. in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Rawene Riding ;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 30th day of September in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF BIRKENHEAD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR REPAYMENT OF
LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £15,000, authorized to be raised by the Birken-
head Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, for street improvements, including the forming, metal-
ling, and blinding of the main thoroughfare of the borough,
and for forming and metalling portions of the roadways on
the other more important streets in the borough, the said
Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of seven-eighths of a penny (⅞d.) in the pound
upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Borough of Birkenhead, comprising
the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Birkenhead
Borough Council held in the Council Chambers at Birkenhead
on Wednesday, the 13th day of August, 1919.

FRESHFIELD DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Freshfield Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Freshfield
Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for
improving the drains and outlets of the Freshfield Drainage
District, the said Freshfield Drainage Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of five thirty-seconds of a penny
(5/32d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property classified A as set out in the Schedule hereunder,
three thirty-seconds of a penny (3/32d.) in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property classified B as
set out in the Schedule hereunder, and one-sixteenth of a
penny (1/16d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property classified C as set out in the Schedule
hereunder; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds
(£150,000), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the further
distribution and supply of electricity, and the provision and
erecton of all plant, material, and things necessary or inci-
dental thereto, including the provision of standby plant and
improvement of existing plant, the said Christchurch City
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-
three forty-eighths (23/48ths) of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rate-
able property comprised within the City of Christchurch;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted at a meeting of the Christchurch City Council held
on the 11th day of August, 1919.
