Special Order made by the Avondale Road Board making By-laws.

Wellington, 19th August, 1919.
THE following special order, made by the Avondale Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

BY-LAW No. 4.
DEFINING STOCK ROUTE THROUGH AVONDALE ROAD DISTRICT.
FROM and after the coming into force of this by-law,—
- No person shall drive, or cause or suffer to be driven, any loose cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, or goats through the Avondale Road District except by the following route, which the Avondale Road Board hereby declares to be the stock route for this district, viz.—
(a.) For cattle, &c., coming from the western (New Lynn) side: By way of Karaka Street to its junction with Taylor Street, thence by way of Taylor Street, Sewell Street, Donovan Street, and White Swan Road.
(b.) For cattle, &c., coming from the eastern (Mount Albert, Mount Roskill) side: By way of White Swan Road, Donovan Street, Sewell Street, Taylor Street, and Karaka Street.
Provided that this by-law shall not apply in case of loose cattle, horses, sheep, or pigs being driven to any bona fide destination for delivery in or from any bone fide point of origin within the Point Chevalier Road District.
- No person shall drive, or cause or suffer to be driven, any horses or cattle (not in harness or yoke) in herd or mob exceeding five head, or sheep, pigs, or goats in a herd or mob exceeding twenty-five, along any part of the Great North Road between the junction of Station Road and the Great North Road, or along Blake Street, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The penalty for breach of either of above by-laws shall be a fine not exceeding £5 for every breach.
The foregoing by-law was duly made by the Avondale Road Board by special order passed and adopted at a special meeting of the said Board convened for that purpose on the 2nd day of July, 1919, publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 5th day of July, 12th day of July, 19th day of July, and 26th day of July, 1919, and confirmed on the 6th August, 1919, and ordered to come into force on being gazetted.
The common seal of the Inhabitants of the Avondale Road District was fixed hereto at the meeting and by order of the Avondale Road Board on the 13th day of August, 1919.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Mangere Road District.—Special Order.
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Manukau County Council, on the petition of the majority of the ratepayers of the Mangere Road District, resolved, by way of special order, that the said Mangere Road District be merged in the County of Manukau and the Board thereof dissolved, as from 30th August, 1919.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Manukau was hereunto affixed this 13th day of August, 1919, in the presence of—

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Blenheim, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Blenheim was taken on the 6th day of August, 1919, on the proposal of the Blenheim Borough Council to borrow the sum of £110,000 (one hundred and ten thousand pounds), (£65,000 waterworks and £45,000 sewerage).
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 560, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 206.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Freshfield Drainage District was taken on the 8th day of August, 1919, upon the proposal of the Freshfield Drainage Board to borrow the sum of £500 for improving the drains and outlets of the Freshfield Drainage District.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 22, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 0.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
