HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery and Territorial Force, and the reporting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS.

Captain Alexander John Sutherland Cowie, 5th Mounted Rifles (Otago Hussars), relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Group No. 15, Otago Military District, dated 29th July, 1919, and is demobilized. Dated 26th August, 1919.

Captain (temp. Major) Daniel Willis Talbot, Unattached List (b), relinquishes the appointment of President, Courts-martial and Courts of Inquiry, N.Z. Expeditionary Force training-camps, dated 8th August, 1919, and is demobilized. Dated 5th September, 1919.

PROMOTIONS, RESIGNATIONS, AND TRANSFERS.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 91, of 24th July, 1919, relating to Lieutenant-Colonel Murray Menzies Gard’ner, D.S.O., p.s.c., g., for the words “Dated 1st August, 1919,” read “Dated 31st March, 1917.”

4TH (WAIKATO) MOUNTED RIFLES.

The undermentioned cease to be temporarily attached for duty to the Regiment. Dated 5th August, 1919:—

Lieutenant Wynne Peyton Gray to be Captain, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 2nd April, 1919.

Lieutenant Ernest Herbert Andrews is retired, under the provisions of paragraph 127, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 4th August, 1919.

14TH (SOUTH OTAGO) REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant John Petrie Lyall resigns his commission. Dated 4th August, 1919.

15TH (NORTH AUCKLAND) REGIMENT.

Captain Ernest Astley Harding, M.C., to be Major, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 4th September, 1918.

Lieutenant Frank Wilfred Gribble is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 6th August, 1919.

N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) Frank Harding Wilkie resigns his commission. Dated 5th August, 1919.

Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Edmund Russell Rendle, M.R.C.S., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 26th July, 1919.

Lieutenant Munro May Hockin, M.B., to be Captain. Dated 9th June, 1919.

N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE.

Staff Nurse Margaret Nixon to be Sister. Dated 30th June, 1919.
