Notifying Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the thirteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Tauranga County.—Te Papa Parish.
SECTION 232: Area, 20 acres; capital value, £40.
Altitude, 400 ft. to 560 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, intersected by steep gully; about 14 acres ploughable; all covered with gorse. Good soil of a sandy nature, on pumice formation; well watered by spring. Situated about seven miles and a half from Tauranga by formed road.
Section 279: Area, 50 acres; capital value, £100.
Altitude, 500 ft. to 600 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, covered with scrub, fern, and small patches of gorse. Good soil of a sandy nature, on pumice formation; watered by spring on south side of section. Distant about seven miles and a half from Tauranga, seven miles of which is by main coach-road, balance rough dray-road.
Whakatane County.—Rangitaiki Parish.
Section 98: Area, 92 acres 3 roods 23 perches; capital value, £930.
Altitude, 2 ft. to 20 ft. above sea-level. About 10 acres raupo, balance fairly level scrub country. Soil a fair loam, with a certain amount of sand, on sandy formation; water can only be obtained by sinking. Distant about half a mile from Thornton by good formed road.
Tauranga County.—Maketu Survey District.
Section 27, Block VIII: Area, 8 acres 3 roods 20 perches; capital value, £90.
Section 28, Block VIII: Area, 26 acres 3 roods 2 perches; capital value, £270.
Section 29, Block VIII: Area, 18 acres 1 rood 24 perches; capital value, £185.
Altitude, 200 ft. to 220 ft. above sea-level. Level to undulating land, covered with fern and rough grass. Soil of good quality of a sandy nature, on pumice formation; no water on sections, but stock can be watered at spring on main road about a quarter of a mile distant. Situated about four miles from Paengaroa Village and railway-station by good formed road.
Thames County.—Piako Survey District.
Section 13, Block IV: Area, 5 acres; capital value, £100.
Altitude, a few feet above sea-level. Level land of good quality, in flax, rushes, and rough feed. Alluvial soil of very good quality, on clay subsoil; not watered. Distant thirty-five chains from Waitakaruru Landing by good road.

Land in Block XV, Omapere Survey District, North Auckland Land District, set apart for a Rifle Range.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the eighty-eighth section of the Defence Act, 1909, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart any Crown land for permanent training-grounds, or for rifle or artillery practice, or for the erection of drill-sheds or other buildings necessary for military purposes, or for the erection of butts, ranges, and other accommodation for the use of the Defence Forces:
And whereas the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is required for the purpose of a rifle range:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto for a rifle range.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 41 acres 0 roods 7 perches, more or less, being Section 11, Block XV, Omapere Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 2042 links; towards the north-east generally by Sections 9 and 10, Block XV, Omapere Survey District, 1238 and 3114·5 links respectively; towards the south-east by Parahirahi A No. 1 Block, 2274·1 links; and towards the west by Parahirahi D Block, 4179·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan No. 20214.)
