WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908, AND AMENDMENTS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiapu County Council (duly incorporated), in pursuance of the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Counties Act, 1908, and amendments, it enabling, intends to take for a public work—to wit, as a site for a worker’s dwelling—all that piece of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and delineated on a plan deposited for inspection at the offices of the said Council at Waipiro Bay. All persons having any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such land must, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, forward in writing to the offices of the said Council a notice of their objections.

Dated at Waipiro Bay this 28th day of April, 1919.

THE SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of land to be taken: 10 acres.

Description of land: Whetumatarau Block, situated in Waiapu County.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all others powers it thereto enabling, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £4,750 (four thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds), authorized to be raised, under section 16, subsection (e), of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling and improving the roads in the Mapau Special Rating Area in the Matakohé Riding of the Otamatea County, the Otamatea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property lying within the Mapau Special Rating Area, containing Lots 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, of 1, Mapau Village; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, of 11, Mapau Village; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, Block II, Te Kuri; Sections 2, part 5, 55, 56, 57, 257, 259, 260, Block XIII, Matakohé Parish; Sections 20, 21, 53, 54, Block XV, Tokatoka Survey District; Section 39, Block I, Te Kowhai; Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey District; bounded as follows,—

Commencing from a point on the foreshore at the north-west corner of Section 53, Block XV, Tokatoka S.D.; thence along the boundary between the Ruawai Riding and the Matakohé Outlying District, along the north boundaries of Sections 53 and 20, Block XV, part 23, 27, 46, 45; thence at right angles in a northerly direction to a point in Section 2; thence in a north-easterly direction to the boundary of the Matakohé Parish; thence following in a south-easterly direction along the said boundary to the north-east corner of Section 149, Block XIII, Matakohé Parish; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections part 260, 259, 55, 56, 57, 2, Block XIII, Section 39, Block I, to the foreshore at Te Kowhai; thence along the foreshore to the point of commencement at the north-east corner of Section 53, Block XV, in the Matakohé Riding of the Otamatea County.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Monday, the 4th day of August, 1919, and the common seal of the Otamatea County Council was hereto affixed, in the presence of—
