Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps, the Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, and Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps, the Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, and Territorial Force, and the reporting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS.

Major Norton Francis, C.M.G., N.Z. Forces Motor Service Corps, ceases to be attached for duty to the General Staff at Headquarters. Dated 30th April, 1919.

Captain William McGregor Turnbull, D.S.O., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquished the appointment of Group Commander Group No. 19, Wellington Military District. Dated 26th July, 1919.

PROMOTIONS, RESIGNATIONS, AND TRANSFERS.

THE REGIMENT OF ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY.

The undermentioned honorary Lieutenants to be Lieutenants:—

Lieutenant Henry Meredith Garner is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 20th July, 1919.

1ST (CANTERBURY) REGIMENT.

Lieutenant Stuart James Sampson performed the duties of Area Officer, Group No. 9, Canterbury Military District, from 27th May, 1918, to 31st July, 1919, and is demobilized from the latter date.

COAST DEFENCE DETACHMENT.

Lieutenant Reginald Seymour Phelps Hopkins is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 30th July, 1919.

N.Z. RIFLE BRIGADE.

Earl of Liverpool’s Own (Territorial).

2nd Lieutenant William Waddell Horwell is transferred to the Unattached List (b). Dated 23rd July, 1919.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Captain Cuthbert Raymond, M.B., was appointed for duty with the Assistant Director of Medical Services, Otago Military District, from 4th March, 1919, to 15th August, 1919.

Captain (temp.) Charles Malcolm Rout, M.B., on ceasing to perform duties in the Corps, is demobilized, and relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 5th August, 1919.

UNATTACHED LIST (b).

2nd Lieutenant William Waddell Horwell, from the N.Z. Rifle Brigade (Earl of Liverpool’s Own), to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 23rd July, 1919.

Sergeant William Henry Potter to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation). Dated 28th July, 1919.

The undermentioned are transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List:—
