RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.-WAITOA-MATAMATA AND SEDDONS ROADS AREA LOAN, £4,050.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges payments on a loan of four thousand and fifty pounds (£4,050), authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling portion of the Waitoa-Matamata and Seddons Roads in the Waihou and Manawaru Ridings of the said county, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Waitoa-Matamata and Seddons Roads Special Rating Area, being bounded as follows:-

Commencing at a point on the Waitoa River, being the north-west corner of Section 1; Block IV, Maungakawa Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of the said Section 1, Block IV, and Sections 36, 37, Block XVI, Maungakawa Survey District and Waitoa Survey District, being part of the Rangiatea Estate, to the most northerly point in the said Section 37 ; thence following the eastern boundary of Sections 37, 38, and 39 and Waihekau No. 4 in a south-easterly direction to the most easterly point in Waihekau No. 4; thence following the course of the Piranui Stream through Orongo-mairoa to the northern boundary of Hungahunga No. 2, then by the said northern boundary of Hungahunga No. 2 to the north-east corner of Lot 1 of subdivision of Allotment 7, Hungahunga No. 2, shown on plan No. 8932, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence following the north-east boundary of the said Lot 1 to the south-east corner of the said Lot 1; thence by the boundary-line produced across a public road; thence by the road forming the northern boundary of Lot 3 of subdivision of portion of Hungahunga No. 1, and shown on plan No. 7060, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Lot 3; thence by the eastern boundary of Lot 5 of subdivision of Hungahunga No. 1, shown on plan No. 2841, deposited at the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to the south-east corner of the said Lot 5; thence by the south-east and south-west boundaries of the said Lot 5 and part of south-west boundary-line of Lot 4, shown on plan aforesaid No. 2841, to the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block VIII, Maungakawa Survey District; then by the north-west boundary of the said Section 1 to the Waitoa River; thence by the right bank of the Waitoa River to the place of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years (36½), or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between MICHAEL McMAHON, JAMES KING, GEORGE RICHARD FORREST, and PAUL FISCHBACH, carrying on business as Motor-garage Proprietors at Gisborne, under the style of “The Poverty Bay Garage Company,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 23rd day of January, 1919.
