MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
TIRAU RIDING SPECIAL AREA LOAN OF £5,000.—RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for metalling roads for the first time, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-ninths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Tirau Riding Special Area within the Matamata County, as set forth in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the first year’s instalment of interest and sinking fund, and the cost of raising the loan, shall be paid out of the loan.
SCHEDULE.
Commencing at the Okoroire Railway-station, thence along the road on the northern boundary of Section 11 to the Oraka Stream; thence along the Oraka Stream to the boundary of the Patetere Riding at the southern boundary of Section 39, Block VI, Patetere N. Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of the Patetere Riding to the intersection of the Pokaiwhenua Stream; thence following that stream to its junction with the Waikato River; thence along the eastern bank of that river to the south-west corner of Section 129, Block XVI, Cambridge S.D.; thence along the eastern boundary of Sections 129, 130, 131, 132, 133, and 125 of Block XII, Cambridge S.D.; thence along the northern boundary of Section Hinuera No. 1B and 653B; thence along the northern boundary of Sections 97, 98, and 95 to the intersection of the railway-line to the starting-point at the Okoroire Station.
I hereby declare that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Matamata County Council held on the 17th day of January, 1919.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between CYRIL HENRY BLAKE, of 171 Clarence Road, Christchurch, Contractor, and ALFRED JONATHAN JONES, of Christchurch, Contractor, carrying on business as Carters and Carriers at Christchurch under the style or firm of “Blake and Jones,” has been dissolved as from the date hereof so far as concerns the said Cyril Henry Blake, who retires from the said firm.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, and more particularly by section 69 of the Public Health Act, 1908, for the purpose of defraying the cost of the construction of a drainage system for the drainage of the Parakai Sewerage Special Loan Area, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and seven-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the said Parakai Sewerage Special Loan Area, comprising all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 58 acres 1 rood 25 perches, being parts of Sections 5, 1A, 2, and 6 of Block 14 of the Survey District of Kaipara, bounded, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 5, on the south by a public road to the western boundary of Lot 1 of a subdivision of Section 5; thence on the west and south-west by the western boundary of the said Lot 1, and by a right line parallel to the Parkhurst Main Road, 3565 links, touching the most westerly point of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 250, folio 259, in the Land Transfer Office at Auckland; thence on the north-west by a right line at right angles to and across the said main road; thence on the north by a right line produced eastward and westward from the northern boundary of the lots shown on deposited plan No. 10179 in the Land Transfer Office at Auckland to the road which follows the bank of the Kaipara River; thence on the south-east and south by the said road which follows the bank of the Kaipara River and by Springs Road to the Parkhurst main road; thence on the north-east by a line crossing Springs Road to the north-western corner of Section 10, and by the Parkhurst main road to the north-western corner of Section 6; thence on the north and north-east by the northern boundary of Section 6 and by a right line parallel to the Parkhurst main road, and 500 links distant therefrom, 1560 links; thence on the south-east by a right line to the angle in the Parkhurst main road opposite the public road before described; thence on the south-west by a diagonal line across the Parkhurst main road to the point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a minute of the Waitemata County Council passed at a meeting held on the 20th day of December, 1918.
