THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

to 35 inclusive of Horehore No. 2, being subdivision of
Maungatawhiri Block and Horehore Block, of Blocks XIII
and XIV, Tutamoe Survey District, and Block I, Tokatoka
Survey District, in the County of Hobson; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July
in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of resolution
passed at a meeting of the Hobson County Council on the
20th day of June, 1918.

WHAKATANE HARBOUR BOARD.

EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING
HELD ON THE 10TH DAY OF JUNE, 1918.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Whakatane Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of in-
terest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Whakatane
Harbour Board Loan, £35,000, 1918, authorized to be raised
by the Whakatane Harbour Board, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of the completion of the present harbour-
improvement works, and the purchase of certain plant in
connection with the same, the said Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of five-ninths of a penny in the pound
sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) of all rateable property in the Whakatane Harbour
District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recur-
ring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the first day of April in each year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct
copy of a resolution which was duly passed by the Whaka-
tane Harbour Board on the date above mentioned.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the share-
holders of the above company will be held at Horwell
Downs, Fairlie, on Thursday, the 1st day of August, 1918,
at 2.30 p.m., when the Liquidator’s accounts will be laid
before the meeting and arrangements made for winding up
the company.

the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of
the above-named company will be held at the offices of
Messieurs Ashby, Bergh, and Co. (Limited), High Street,
Christchurch, on Thursday, the 18th day of July, at 8 o’clock
in the evening, for the purpose of having an account laid
before them showing the manner in which the winding-up
has been conducted and the property of the company dis-
posed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given
by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary
resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and
documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof
shall be disposed of.

members of the above-named company will be held
at 100 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, on Wednesday, the
24th July, 1918, at 12 noon, for the purpose of having an
account laid before them showing the manner in which the
winding-up has been conducted and the property of the
company disposed of; and also of determining by extra-
ordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts,
and documents of the company and of the Liquidator shall
be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that, owing to Mr. Bell having
retired from the firm, the Partnership heretofore
existing between ELON BOND, ENOS BOND, ENOCH BOND,
and JOHN BELL, carrying on business at Commerce Street,
Auckland, under the style of “Bond and Bell,” has now
been dissolved. The whole of the assets and liabilities have
been taken over by Messrs. ENOS, ELON, and ENOCH BOND,
who will carry on the business under the style of “Bond
and Bond,” and will pay and receive all obligations and
accounts of the late firm.
