PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

No. 7 Road Loan.—10 per Cent Additional.—Resolution Making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the metalling of the No. 7 Road in the Waitoa Riding of the Piako County, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the No. 7 Road Special Rating Area, comprising all that area of land in the Waitoa Riding of the County of Piako commencing at the south-eastern boundary of Section 59 of the Waitoa Estate at where it junctions with the railway-line; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Sections 59, 60, 61, and 62 of the Waitoa Estate to No. 2 Road; thence continuing northerly along a right line through centre of Sections 53, 52, 51, 50, 49, and 48 of the Waitoa Estate to No. 4 Road; thence continuing northwards along the eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 25, 23, 21, and 19 of the Ballachragan Subdivision to the boundary-line between the Counties of Piako and Ohinemuri, along such county boundary in a westerly direction to a point in Section 83 of the Waitoa Estate 60 chains west of No. 7 Road; thence by a right line in a southerly direction through the centre of Sections 82, 81, 80, 79, 78, 77, 76, 75, 74, 73, 72, and 71 of the Waitoa Estate; thence continuing southerly along western boundaries of Sections 65, 64, and 63 and by a right line through Section 68 of the said Waitoa Estate to its southern boundary 20 chains west from where such boundary-line joins the railway-line; thence easterly along such southern boundary to the railway-line, which all along in a north-easterly direction to the point of commencement. Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the above resolution making a special rate was duly passed at a meeting of the Piako County Council held on the 17th day of June, 1918.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution Making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, and for the purpose of metalling the main Tauranga—Rotorua Road, in the Greerton Special Rating Area, and for quarrying, breaking, carting, and spreading the metal, and preparing the road, therefore, the said Tauranga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-fifths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Greerton Special Rating Area, comprising the whole of the Greerton Special Rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tauranga was hereunto affixed this 17th day of June, 1918, in the presence of—

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication
