FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL.

EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING HELD ON THE ELEVENTH DAY OF APRIL, 1918, AT 7.30 P.M.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000), authorized to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing additional plant to the electric-light station of the said Feilding Borough Council, the said Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

HORAHORA SPECIAL AREA LOAN.—RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for metalling a road for the first time, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 24/37ths of a penny (1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Horahora Special Area, in the Maungatautari Riding of the Matamata County, as set forth in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the first year’s instalments and the cost of raising the loan shall be paid out of the loan.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that land commencing at the junction of the Wairaka Stream and the Waikato River; thence following up the said river to its junction with the county boundary at the south-eastern corner of the Maungatautari Riding; thence in a north-westerly direction along the said boundary to the 5468A Block boundary, being a point about forty chains beyond the Maungatautari Trig.; thence in a northerly direction to Block 2280 No. 1A; thence following the boundary of the said block west, north, and east to the south-eastern corner of K or 9, Horahora Estate, to the Wairaka Stream; thence following the said stream to its junction with the Waikato River, the commencing-point: but deviating at about half-way so as to include part Section 8, part Maungatautari, such area containing therein Sections 1 to 15 of A, B; 1, 2, of B; 1 to 7 of D, F, G, M, and M; 1 to 3 of Sub. G, H, and K of Horahora Estate; Blocks III, IV,

VIII, Maungatautari; and 1 and 2 of 8, III, Maungatautari, and XV, Cambridge; 54 and 68 of 3A; 2, 5, 6, and 7 of 3A; 5A, part 3A, 5A, 5B, part 3A, 5C, part 3A, 5E, part 3A, 5F, part 3A, 5G, 3C; 2, 3, and 4 of 3A; 5J, and part 8 of 5J, of Blocks II, VII, Maungatautari.

I hereby declare that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Matamata County Council held on the 14th day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

GREEN ISLAND BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the supplementary loan of £85, being the tenth of £850 authorized to be raised by the Green Island Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the installation of electric lighting within the borough, the said Green Island Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/16ths of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Green Island; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 17th day of May and the 17th day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 3rd April, 1918; confirmed at a meeting held on the 6th May, 1918.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Green Island was hereunto affixed in attestation that the foregoing is a true copy of the resolution passed by the Green Island Borough Council at a meeting held on the 6th day of May, 1918.

HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Hungahunga Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of constructing new drainage-works—viz., to cleanse, widen, and deepen existing watercourses, drains, and outfalls, and to make and construct new watercourses, drains, and outfalls—the said Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified “A” as set out in the classification schedule hereunder, one-eighth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified “B” as set out in the classification schedule hereunder, and one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified “C” as set out in the classification schedule hereunder; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
