2nd Lieutenant S. Ruddock to be Lieutenant. Dated 11th

Captain G. Dittmer, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of
Major. Dated 7th November, 1917.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. H. S. Johnston relinquishes
the temporary rank of Captain from 6th January, 1918,

Battalion, vice Lieutenant R. J. L. Thomson, appointed
Intelligence Officer, from 1st September, 1917, to 29th
October, 1917.

Lieutenant R. J. L. Thompson performed the duties of
Quartermaster, 1st Battalion, from 6th May, 1917, to
1st September, 1917.

N.Z. RIFLE BRIGADE.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) A. E. Stewart, D.S.O.,
appointed to command N.Z. Entrenching Group, retains
the temporary rank of Colonel, and is seconded whilst so
employed. Dated 7th February, 1918.

Captain D. W. McClurg is transferred from Auckland Regi-
ment. Dated 15th February, 1918.

Lieutenant C. A. Caigou to be seconded for duty with a light
