Block VIII, Te Kawau Survey District; thence by the con-
tinuation in a southerly direction of the last-mentioned road
to the north-western corner of Section 11, Block VIII, Te
Kawau Survey District; thence by the northern boundary-
line of that section to its north-eastern corner; thence to-
wards the east generally by Kopane Native Reserve No. 347
to the Oroua River; thence by that river to Section 14,
Block VIII aforesaid; thence towards the south by the
southern side of the road forming the northern boundaries
of Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 20A, and again
towards the east by the eastern side of the road forming the
eastern boundaries of Sections 24 and 65, and across a road
to Section 38; thence again by the stream forming the

said, to the junction of roads at the south-western corner of
the last-mentioned section; thence again towards the south
by the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 314
and 313, Block X, Te Kawau Survey District, to the Car-
narvon-Sanson Tramway Reserve; thence towards the west
generally by the said tramway reserve to the south-western
corner of Section 118, Block VI, Te Kawau Survey District;
thence across the said tramway reserve and by Sections 124,
108, and 83, Block VI aforesaid, the road forming the northern
boundary of the last-mentioned section, by Section 67, said
Block VI, and Section 46, Block II, Te Kawau Survey Dis-
trict, to the road forming the northern boundary of Section 39,
Block II aforesaid; thence by the last-mentioned road to
the Carnarvon-Sanson Tramway; and thence by that tram-
way to Section 30, Block III, Te Kawau Survey District,
the place of commencement: excluding from the above-
described area Sections 2, 13 to 16 (inclusive), 25, 29 to 36
(inclusive), 65 to 74 (inclusive), 79, 81, 92 to 96 (inclusive),
109, 111, 112, 120 to 130 (inclusive), 132, 133, 140, and 142
to 444 (inclusive), Township of Rongotea.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

SLUGGISH RIVER DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded
towards the north-west generally by the Oroua Drainage
District hereinbefore described from the junction of roads at
the south-western corner of Section 74, Block XI, Te Kawau
Survey District, to the Oroua River; thence towards the
east generally by that river to the Foxton — Palmerston North
Railway Reserve; thence towards the south by the said
railway reserve to the south-eastern corner of Section 316,
Block XIV, Te Kawau Survey District; thence towards the
west by that section to its north-eastern corner; thence
towards the north by the eastern part of the southern boundary
of Section 314, Block X, across a road, and by Original Sec-
tions 317 and 318, Block XI, Te Kawau Survey District;
again towards the west by the last-mentioned section to and
across the road forming the northern boundary of that sec-
tion; thence by the road forming the northern boundaries
of Sections 318 and 317 aforesaid to the place of commence-
ment.

Prohibiting the Importation of Pulvermacher’s Electric or
Galvanic Apparatus.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of June, 1918.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by section forty-six of the
Customs Act, 1913, that the Governor-General may
from time to time, by Order in Council, prohibit the im-
portation into New Zealand of any goods the prohibition of
the importation of which is in his opinion necessary for the
prevention of fraud or deception :

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General the
prohibition of the importation of the goods hereinafter referred
to is necessary for the prevention of fraud and deception :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power conferred upon him as aforesaid, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Ex-
eutive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit
the importation into New Zealand of electric or galvanic
apparatus known as Pulvermacher’s Electrical Body Battery,
Pulvermacher’s Galvanic Dry Combined Bands, Pulver-
macher’s No. 34 Electro-galvanic Deafness Chain, and of any
electric or galvanic apparatus vended by or on account of
the Electrological Institute (J. L. Pulvermacher and Com-
pany, Limited), 56 Ludgate Hill, London, E.C., and of all
written or printed advertising matter relating solely or
principally to such apparatus.

Prohibiting the Exportation of Peas.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth
day of June, 1918.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Customs Act,
1913, as extended by section twenty-four of the
Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, it is enacted
that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order
in Council gazetted, prohibit the exportation of any goods
the prohibition of the exportation of which is in his opinion
necessary in the public interest :

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it
is necessary in the public interest that the exportation of
peas should be prohibited to the extent and in the manner
hereinafter appearing :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section
forty-seven of the Customs Act, 1913, and section twenty-four
of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, and
of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that
behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby prohibit
the exportation of peas from the said Dominion, save with
the consent of the Minister of Customs.

Portion of Omaranui Road, in the Waitotara County, exempted
from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works
Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth
day of June, 1918.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred
and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908,
it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not
apply in any case where the local authority having control of
any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions
thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or
any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved
by the Governor-General in Council :

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred
and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided
that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such
conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor-
General by Order in Council thinks fit to impose :

And whereas the Waitotara County Council, being the
local authority having control of the said portion of road,
described in the Schedule hereto, has passed the following
resolutions, viz. :—

“That the Waitotara County Council hereby declares
that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of
the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion
of the Omaranui Road running along the northern boundary
