MOA ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £2,300, authorized to be raised by consent of the ratepayers interested, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of re-erecting the Makara Bridge in ferro-concrete and metalling Cooper's Hill, on the Rimutauteka Road, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Makara Bridge and Cooper's Hill Special Rating District, comprising Subs. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Rimutauteka, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block 14, Waitara Survey District, and part Section 3 containing 87 acres, and Section 4, Block 2, Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of an extract from the minute-books of the Moa Road Board, and that the resolution was passed at a meeting of the Moa Road Board held at Inglewood on Wednesday, the 29th day of May, 1918.

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £2,300, authorized to be raised by consent of the ratepayers interested, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling Everett Road, and building an arch over the Kurapete Stream, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties of the Everett Road Special Rating Area comprising part Sec. 10 containing 148 acres, Sections 11, 12, 13, part Sec. 17 containing 145 acres, Sections 18, 19, Block 13, Waitara Survey District, part Secs. 181, 182, 183, and 260, Block 9, Waitara Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

AVONDALE ROAD BOARD.
A POLL was taken on the 1st June, 1918, as follows :—
“That henceforth the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof be adopted in the Avondale Road District.”
For the proposal, 231; against the proposal, 300; informal, 1; majority against, 69.
I therefore declare the proposal to be not carried.
