Auckland, 1st March, 1918.

THE undersigned, HUGH KENNEDY JONES, hereby gives notice that the Partnership formerly existing between ALFRED WILLIAM READ, WALTER ERNEST HEDDITCH, and himself, under the name of “A. W. Read and Co.,” has been dissolved.

The business will in future be carried on by Mr. ALFRED WILLIAM READ under the former name.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between the undersigned as Cordial and Aerated Water Manufacturers has been dissolved as from the date hereof. The business will in future be carried on by ALFRED SMITH on his own account, and he will receive all debts owing to the firm and pay all debts owing by them.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waikohu County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the formation and construction of a public road through the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto; and for that purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council at Te Karaka, Poverty Bay, and at the offices of the said Council’s solicitors, Messrs. Kirk, Burnard, and Sievwright, situate in Gladstone Road, Gisborne, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land, who have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers at Te Karaka aforesaid.

NEW ZEALAND GUM-CLEANING COMPANY (LIMITED).

VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held on Friday, the 17th day of May, 1918, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at the company’s factory buildings, Victoria Street, Dargaville, the following special resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held on Tuesday, the 4th day of June, 1918, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at the company’s said premises in Dargaville aforesaid, the following special resolution was duly confirmed:—

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.

  2. That FRANK VICTOR RAYMOND and FRANCIS JOSEPH DARGAVILLE be appointed Liquidators for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the NEW ZEALAND TROTTING JOURNAL COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at the offices of Messrs. Tosswill, Sutherland, and Co., 143 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on the 5th June, 1918, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And at the said meeting ROBERT TONKIN TOSSWILL, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
