Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Section 20 is weighted with £500, valuation for house containing five rooms and offices. The house is in good condition, but requires repapering.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Auckland Land District for other Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section seventeen of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive by way of equality of exchange any sum not exceeding twenty-five per centum of the estimated value of the Crown land so granted:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2·5 perches, more or less, and being portion of Section 28, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 12, Block XVI aforesaid, 47·76 links; towards the east by the aforesaid Section 12, 66·4 links; and towards the south-west by the other portion of Section 28 aforesaid, 81·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/89, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2·8 perches, more or less, and being portion of Section 12, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the other portion of Section 12 aforesaid, 59·6 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 63·2 links; and towards the west by Section 28, Block XVI aforesaid, 101·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/89, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Opening Education Reserves in Canterbury Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the education reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease for the term of thirty-three years, with right of renewal for successive periods of thirty-three years, on Monday, the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said reserves shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
