to which the dispute relates, and for the time occupied by
him in attending the sittings of a Council; provided that
this clause shall not apply in any case where the Commissioner
is satisfied that for any sufficient reason it is essential that one
or more Assessors should be appointed from another industrial district than that to which a dispute relates.

Regulation 79 is hereby amended by adding thereto
the following words: “Provided that notice of the decision
of the Court in any matter may be effectively served by
forwarding a copy thereof through the ordinary course of
the post.” -
Regulation 14 is hereby amended by omitting therefrom the word “six,” and by substituting therefor the word
“twelve.”

Amendment of the Regulations under the Apiaries Amendment Act, 1913, relating to the Export of Honey from New Zealand.—Notice No. 1929.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of May, 1918.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-second
day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred
and fifteen, regulations were made relating to the export of
honey from New Zealand :
And whereas by the said regulations the export of honey is
permitted only from certain specified ports, and certain stores
are appointed grading-stores for honey at the places indicated therein :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to appoint a store at
Dunedin to be a grading-store for honey in lieu of the store
at that port appointed a grading-store under the said regulations :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by the Apiaries Amendment Act, 1913, and
of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations hereinbefore mentioned to the extent set out in the
Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that this Order in
Council shall come into force on the date of the publication
thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
CLAUSE 4.—By deleting the words “Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce’s Store, Railway Yards,”
under the heading “Store,” and substituting therefor the
words “South Island Dairy Association of New Zealand’s
Store.”

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of May, 1918.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the
Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful
or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour
Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or
contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank
overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that
behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any
other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special
Act or under any other authority whatever, without the
precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council :
And whereas application has been made for the consent of
the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local
authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the
loans set out in column “B” therein :
And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of
the Governor-General in Council should issue :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the
Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which
the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case
produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-quarter
pounds per centum per annum. And it is hereby declared
that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in
that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate
accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council
to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

Declaring Portion of Road in Block XIII, Hillend Survey District, to be a Government Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a
Government road.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the portion of road declared a Government road: 1 rood 25 perches.
Passing through Section 14, Block XIII, Hillend Survey District.
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44191,

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section,
and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the
Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council
