In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43834, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Sanitary Depot in Block XII, Uawa Survey District, Cook County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of a sanitary depot in Block XII, Uawa Survey District, Cook County:

And whereas the Cook County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map in duplicate, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Health Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of the said sanitary depot, and shall vest in the Corporation of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Stopping a Government Road in Block II, Moutere Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Amending Regulations under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1918.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby further amend the regulations under the said Act dated the fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from the date of publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.
THE regulations hereinbefore referred to are hereby further amended as follows:—

  1. The following new regulation is hereby inserted after Regulation 74A:—

74B. The fees and travelling expenses (as prescribed by regulations 73 and 74 and any amendments thereof) of an Assessor of a Conciliation Council shall be payable only for the time necessarily occupied by him in travelling to and from the sittings of a Council within the industrial district
