aforesaid, the abutment of a road, and again by Sections 19, 20, and 21, Block V aforesaid, 6888·2 links; thence to the west by Section 30 and Section 1, Block XIX aforesaid, to a road-line, 2660·4 links; thence to the south-west generally by the said road to sawmill site No. 636, 494 links, to the western bank of the Pourakino River, 640 links (scaled), and to the south by the said western bank to the place of commencement, 1950 links (scaled).

Also all that area, containing 48 acres 0 roods 14 perches, more or less, being Sections 57 and 63, Block XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the south side of the road forming the southern boundary of Section 18, Block V, Jacob’s River Hundred aforesaid, intersected by the west bank of the Pourakino River; thence to the west by the said road to the north-western corner of Section 57 aforesaid, 1140 links (scaled); thence to the south by a road forming the eastern boundary of Sections 56, 58, 60, 61, 62, Block XIX aforesaid, to the right bank of the Pourakino River, 4536 links; thence to the east and again to the north by the right bank of the Pourakino River aforesaid to the point of commencement, 13200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 214/38A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Situated in Porangahau Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.).

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42778, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block VI, Mimi Survey District, Clifton County:

And whereas the Clifton County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 roods 31·9 perches.

Portion of Section 8, Pukearuhe Town Belt, Block VI, Mimi Survey District (Pukearuhe R.D.).

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44137, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
