and by the south-eastern side of that road to and across
Mount Eden Road, by the western side of Mount Eden
Road to the easternmost corner of Original Allotment 2 of
Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by the south-
eastern boundaries of Allotments 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, and 2F
of Section 10 aforesaid to the southernmost corner of the
last mentioned allotment, and by the south-western boundary
of Allotment 2F aforesaid to Dominion Road (formerly Mount
Roskill Road), by the eastern side of that road to its junction
with New North Road, across that road to the easternmost
corner of Allotment 10 of Section 5, Suburbs of Auckland,
and by that allotment to the south-eastern boundary of Sec-
tion 7, Suburbs of Auckland ; thence by the south-eastern
and southern boundaries of Section 7 aforesaid to a point
in line with the western boundary of Allotment 20 of Sec-
tion 7 aforesaid; thence by a right line to and by that
boundary to the Great North Road, and by the southern
side of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Allotment 17, Section 9, Suburbs of Auckland;
across the Great North Road to the south-eastern corner of
Allotment 17 aforesaid, by that allotment and Allotment 13
to Motion's Creek, and by that creek to Waitemata Harbour,
the place of commencement : excepting the Borough of New-
market and the Auckland Domain and Hospital Reserve.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF EDEN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded to-
wards the north generally by Waitemata Harbour from the
Whau River to the Tamaki River; thence towards the cast
generally by the Tamaki River and the Otahuhu Creek to
Portage Road ; thence towards the south by Portage Road
to Manukau Harbour; thence towards the west and again
towards the south by Manukau Harbour to the Borough of
Onehunga ; thence by that borough and again by Manukau
Harbour to the western side of Portage Road at Karaka
Bay ; thence towards the west by the western side of Portage
Road to the Town District of New Lynn, as described in the
New Zealand Gazette of the 23rd June, 1910, page 1789, and
by that town district to the Whau Bridge; and thence
across and by the Whau River to Waitemata Harbour, the
place of commencement : excluding the City of Auckland,
the Boroughs of Newmarket, Mount Eden, and Mount Albert,
and the Town District of Ellerslie.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE TAMAKI WEST ROAD DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded to-
wards the north by the Waitemata Harbour from the north-
western corner of Section 40A, Parish of Waitemata, Rangi-
toto Survey District, to the Tamaki River; thence towards
the east by that river to the south-eastern corner of Sec-
tion 39, Parish of Waitemata aforesaid; thence towards the
south by the southern boundary-line of that section, across
a road and by the southern boundary-line of Section 44 to
the middle of Panmure Road, by the south-eastern boundary
of Section 57, the south-eastern and south-western boundary
of Section 50, the south-western boundary of Section 49, and
its production, to the centre of College Road, by a line along
the Middle of College Road to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Ellerslie Town District; thence towards
the west by the Ellerslie Town District, the City of Auckland
hereinbefore described, to the Parewa Creek, across that
creek, and by the western boundaries of Sections 39A and
40A to the Waitemata Harbour to place of commencement.

Fixing the Time and Place of First Meeting of the Bay of
Plenty Hospital Board.

IN pursuance of the authority vested in me by section 28
of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act,
1909, I, George Warren Russell, Minister charged with the
administration of the said Act, do hereby direct that the
first meeting of the Bay of Plenty Hospital and Charitable
Aid Board, reconstituted under the Reserves Disposal Bill,
1917, shall be held at the County Council Chambers,
Whakatane, on the 16th day of May, 1918, at 12 noon.

Notifying Land in Taranaki Land District subject to the Land
for Settlements Act, 1908.

Office of Board of Land Purchase Commissioners,

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements
Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that
the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as
the Croydon Settlement, which has been acquired under the
said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from 21st December,
1917.

SCHEDULE.

CROYDON SETTLEMENT.

ALL that piece or parcel of land situated in the Taranaki
Land District, and containing by admeasurement 640 acres,
more or less, being Sections 12 and 13 of Block IX, Huiroa
Survey District, and bounded as follows: On the north by
Sections 10 and 11 of the same block and survey district,
7731 links; on the east by the Manganui Stream; on the
south generally by Section 14 of the same block and survey
district, 6260 links; and on the west by the Croydon Road,
6257 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.
As the same is more particularly delineated on plan L. and S.
No. 21/18, deposited in the Head Office, Lands Department,
at Wellington, and edged with pink.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VII, Rangitaiki
Upper Survey District, for Thermal Purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amend-
ment Act, 1910, to take the land described in the Schedule
hereto for thermal purposes. And notice is hereby further
given that the plan of the land so required to be taken
is deposited in the post-office at Te Teko, and is there open
for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same
in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from
the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
10 acres 3 roods 38 perches.

Portion of Section 12, Rangitaiki Parish. Block VII, Rangi-
taiki Upper Survey District. (S.O. 16648.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 32174,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

As witness my hand, at Wellington, this 13th day of

Money-order and Postal Correspondence for William Noton,
Auckland.--Removing Restriction of.

THE Acting Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, being satisfied that the person whose name
and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder is
no longer engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or
scheme of chance, hereby rescinds the order made on the
20th day of October, 1917, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 25th day of October, 1917, forbidding
that any money-order in favour of the said person shall be
issued and that any postal packet addressed to the said
person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed
name) or addressed to either of the addresses in the Schedule
hereunder without a name shall be registered, forwarded,
or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand; and orders
that such money-orders shall be issued and that such
postal packets shall be registered, forwarded, and delivered
in the usual course.
