Land taken for a Road Approach to the Huntly-Awaroa Branch of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS part of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a road-approach to the Huntly-Awaroa Branch of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed and performed:

And whereas it is desirable to take only the surface of such land for the purposes hereinafter specified, together with a portion of the subsoil thereof:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and section seven of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the surface of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, together with that part of the subsoil of such land below the formation levels of the said railway, shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 44112, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, as is described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for a road approach to the aforesaid line of railway.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

The piece of land mentioned in the list hereunder of which surface is taken: 6 acres 3 roods 6 perches, portion of Allotment 211, Parish of Pepepe.

Situated in Blocks II, Newcastle, and XIV, Rangiriri Survey Districts. (S.O. 20006.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44112, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

SUBSOIL TAKEN.

As to the area mentioned in the First Schedule: All the subsoil down to a plane 100 ft. below and approximately parallel to the said line of formation levels, such plane being horizontal transversely to the said line of formation levels.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section five of the Land Act, 1908, it is provided that every Proclamation, Order in Council, and other instrument, whether made under or by virtue of that Act or of any former Land Act, and all regulations, by-laws, conditions, or rules, made by the Governor-General, the Minister, or any Land Board may be altered, amended, or revoked from time to time:

And whereas it is necessary to amend a Proclamation issued under the said Act, proclaiming land as a road and road closed in Blocks I and VI, Maungaru Survey District, dated the thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred
