Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 30th April, 1918.
THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Wairoa, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

WAIRoa BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Wairoa taken on the 22nd March, 1918, on the proposal of the Wairoa Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,500 for bridge-protection and other bridge work, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 86, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 4.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Greerton Special Rating Area of the Waimapu Riding of the County of Tauranga was taken on the 13th day of April, 1918, on the proposal of the Tauranga County Council to borrow the sum of £1,000 for metalling the main Tauranga-Rotorua Road in the said special rating area, and quarrying breaking, carting, carrying, and spreading the metal and preparing the road therefor.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 37 and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 8.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

OTATAU TOWN BOARD.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan of £4,000.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Otatau was taken on the 13th day of March, 1918, on the proposal of the Otatau Town Board to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the purpose of installing a electric lighting and power plant within the town district.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 39 and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Puketiti-Mahoenui Special Rating Area taken on the 19th day of March, 1918, on the proposal of the Awakino County Council to borrow the sum of £2,950 for the purpose of widening, reforming, reculverting, remetalling, and generally improving, in conjunction with the Waitomo County Council, the portion of the Te Kuiti—Awakino Road between Te Kuiti and Piopio, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 31, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Aita Special District of the Hobson County taken on the 2nd day of March, 1918, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £2,500 for the forming and metalling of the Taita Road, the number of votes recorded was as follows: For the proposal, 21; against the proposal, 6.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Constitution of a Special Road District in terms of Section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913.
PURSUANT to section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and the regulations thereunder, I, David Henry Guthrie, the Minister of Lands, do hereby, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the Wellington Land District, declare the lands referred to in the Schedule hereto to be a special district for the purposes of the said section; and such district shall be known as the Owhango Special Road District.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Sections 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23, Block IX, Huna Survey District.

Varied Notice (No. 1) fixing the Closing-hours of Shops wherein is carried on the Trade of a Seller of Phonographs, Gramaphones, Records, Music, and Musical Instruments in the City of Auckland, under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops wherein is carried on the trade of a seller of phonographs, gramaphones, records, music, and musical instruments in the City of Auckland, has been forwarded to me, desiring that the notice gazetted on the 10th day of June, 1915, fixing the closing-hours of all such shops shall be varied as follows—by inserting after the word “Thursday” in the said requisition the words “except on the evening preceding Good Friday”:
And whereas the Auckland City Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops wherein is carried on the trade of a seller of phonographs, gramaphones, records, music, and musical instruments within the City of Auckland:
Now, therefore, I, William Herbert Herries, Acting Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that on and after the 6th day of May, 1918, the requisition gazetted on the 10th day of June, 1915, fixing the closing-hours of all shops wherein is carried on the trade of a seller of phonographs, gramaphones, records,
