in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise || Land in Blocks VI, IX, and X, Wairio Survey District, taken enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare and vested in the Ohai Railway Board. that the middle-line of the said portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point marked 49 miles in Crown land, situated in Block VII, Pouatu Survey District, which point is the termination of the railway described in a Proclamation dated the 8th day of March, 1918, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37, of the 14th day of the same month, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction for a distance of about two miles, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands,&c.-viz., Crown land, Raekohua Road Reserve, railway reserve, Section 13 (Crown land), Raekohua Road Reserve, Section 2, Section 7 (Crown land), Raekohua Road Reserve, railway reserve, Section 14 (Crown land), Mareaikowhai Block A 5D, all in Block VII, Pouatu Survey District, and terminating at a point marked 51 miles, situated in the said Mareaikowhai Block A 5D Block; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.

All in the Land District of Taranaki; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44024, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Land proclaimed as a Road in Block XI, Karioi Survey District, Kawhia County.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner and mortgagee of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Kawhia County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Karioi Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE a.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road : 1 rood 16.7 perches.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 4387(3), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Ohai Railway Board is authorized by law to purchase and acquire the railway or tramway of the Wairio Railway and Coal Company (Limited) from Wairio to Moretown, constructed under Order in Council dated the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, including (inter alia) all freehold and leasehold lands over which the said railway has been constructed, and certain other freehold and leasehold lands owned by the said company, and the said company's rights under the said Order in Council, and to take the same under the Public Works Act, 1908:

And whereas the freehold and leasehold lands described in the Schedule hereto are the freehold and leasehold lands above mentioned, and are now required to be taken from the said company and vested in the said Ohai Railway Board:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking and vesting of such freehold and leasehold lands have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection six of section seventy-eight of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1916, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the freehold and leasehold lands and rights mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and all the estate and interest of the Wairio Railway and Coal Company (Limited) therein and thereto, are hereby taken, and shall vest in the said Ohai Railway Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
