Education Act, 1914.—General Council of Education.

IN pursuance of the regulations made in terms of section 9 (5) of the above-mentioned Act, it is hereby notified that for the election of a member to represent the Education Boards of the North Island the following nomination was received, viz.,—

RICHARD McCALLUM, M.P. ;

that for the election of a member to represent the certificated male teachers of the South Island the following nomination was received, viz.,—

THOMAS SCHOLFIELD FOSTER, M.A. ;

and that for the election of a member to represent the certificated female teachers of the South Island the following nomination was received, viz.,—

EMILY ANNE CHAPLIN, B.A.

As the number of persons nominated in each case does not exceed the number to be elected, I hereby declare RICHARD McCALLUM, THOMAS SCHOLFIELD FOSTER, and EMILY ANNE CHAPLIN duly elected members of the General Council of Education.

NOTICE is hereby given that if within three months from the date hereof cause be not shown to the contrary, each of the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Mining Registers kept by me, in pursuance of section 30, subsection (4), of the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.
