THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road ; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 4 acres 0 roods 6·7 perches.
Portion of Section 31, Parish of Hahei, Block VI, Whitianga Survey District. (S.O. 19588.)
In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43713, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twentieth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Stopping a Government Road in Block XIII, Piako Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof :
And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped : 4 acres 2 roods.
Adjoining or passing through Section 444, Whangamarino Parish, Block XIII, Piako Survey District. (S.O. 19955.)
In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43931, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.
