NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL CORPS.
Captain Maurice George Louisson, M.B., is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, with effect from 16th November, 1916, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., Captain (temp.), as from 1st December, 1915 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 143, of the 16th December, 1915).

Captain Alexander Adair Johnson, F.R.C.V.S., is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, with effect from 28th April, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., Captain, as from 21st June, 1910 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 67, of the 7th July, 1910).

NEW ZEALAND CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
The Reverend Henry Steele Craik, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, with effect from 5th May, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, as from 17th June, 1912 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 40), of the 4th July, 1912.

NEW ZEALAND ARMY NURSING SERVICE.
Sister Jessie Maud Verey resigns her appointment. Dated 28th March, 1918.

UNATTACHED LIST (b).
Lieutenant Arthur Landel Gray to be Captain, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 1st September, 1917.

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants (temp.) to be 2nd Lieutenants. Dated 21st August, 1917:—

Sergeant Audrey Basil Croker to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 25th March, 1918.

The commission of 2nd Lieutenant Stanley Lythgo is cancelled, under the provisions of section 5 (a) of the Defence Act, 1909. Dated 15th March, 1918.

The appointment of Lieutenant Frederick Montgomery Spencer is terminated on transfer to the N.Z. Medical Corps. Dated 1st November, 1917.

Norman Davidson Cox to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 8th November, 1915.

2nd Lieutenant John Leonard Bellerby is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, with effect from 27th April, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from 17th November, 1916 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the 15th March, 1917).

2nd Lieutenant Alfred Sangster Reid is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, with effect from 27th April, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from 12th February, 1917 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 22, of the 8th February, 1917).

CORRIGENDA.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 124, of the 2nd August, 1917, relating to 2nd Lieutenant John McGregor Craig, for the words “Unattached List (b), General List,” read “Corps of N.Z. Engineers, N.Z. Post and Telegraph Corps.”

With reference to the notification published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 165, of the 8th November, 1917, relating to Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) D. J. McGavin, M.D., F.R.C.S., for the words “Dated 30th June, 1917,” read “Dated 29th June, 1917.”

ERRATUM.
With reference to the notification published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62, of the 25th May, 1916, under the heading “Infantry,” delete the name of Lieutenant Dudley Alexander Byrne, Reserve of Officers, General List.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Puketiti-Mahoenui Special Rating Area taken on the 20th day of March, 1913, on the proposal of the Awakino County Council to borrow the sum of £2,950 for the purpose of widening, reforming, reculverting, remetalling, and of generally improving in conjunction with the Waitomo County Council the portion of the Te Kuiti–Awakino Road between Te Kuiti and Piopio, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 31, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Dated at Piopio this 30th day of March, 1918.

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan of £7,000 for Electric Lighting.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Feilding was taken on the 19th day of March, 1918, on the proposal of the Feilding Borough Council to borrow the sum of £7,000 (by way of special loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913) for the purpose of installing additional plant at the electric-lighting station.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 111, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 19.

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Manurewa Town District taken on the 9th day of April, 1918, on the proposal of the Manurewa Town Board to borrow the sum of £650, for the purpose of providing a public hall and recreation-grounds for the Manurewa Town District, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 11, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
