garden, orchard, or vineyard, or in bona fide occupation as an ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the previous consent of the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas part of the land described in the Schedule hereto is occupied by an orchard, and the Minister of Public Works has recommended the Governor-General to issue an Order in Council under the said Act consenting to the taking of the said land for the purposes of a road:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes above mentioned.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and clause fifty of the regulations relating to electric lines published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the delegation by the Opotiki Borough Council of its powers and authorities under the license dated the twelfth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, to Ralph Mathers Letts and Louis Wilfred George Letts, both of Opotiki, electrical engineers, as set forth in the deed of delegation dated the twenty-first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, between the said Council and the said Ralph Mathers Letts and Louis Wilfred George Letts.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Halswell Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of March, 1918.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Halswell Domain:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

SCHEDULE.
HALSWELL DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 110 (in red), situate in Block XIV, Christchurch Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the Lower Lincoln Road; towards the north-east by Rural Section No. 379; and towards the south by Rural Section No. 1072 and Reserve No. 128. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1367, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Portion of Beetham’s Road, in the Masterton County, to be a County Road.

At the Government House at Wellington, this second day of April, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Beetham’s Road, situated in the Wellington Land District, Masterton County, commencing at its junction with the Brancepeth Road, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction, adjoining or passing through Sections 42, 76, 1, 3, 10, 14, and 15, Block XV, Otahoua Survey District, Section 1, Block III, Wainuioru Survey District, and terminating at the south-eastern corner of the said Section 1, Block III, Wainuioru Survey District; being a distance of six miles, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43865, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.
