Military Detention Barracks.
WHEREAS the police-gaol hitherto established at Wanganui has ceased, by Proclamation of the 5th day of March, 1916, to be a police-gaol: And whereas it is desirable to declare it to be a detention barrack under and for the purposes of the regulations made under the Defence Act, 1909, on the 6th day of March, 1918:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the provisions of the said regulations, I, James Allen, Minister of Defence for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the buildings hitherto used as a police-gaol at Wanganui, together with the land appurtenant thereto, and hitherto used and occupied in connection therewith, to be a detention barrack for the purposes of the Army Act within the meaning and for the purposes of the said regulations.

Importation of Fowl-wheat.

IT is notified for general information that the Board of Trade will be prepared until further notice to consider favourably applications for permission to import fowl-wheat from Australia.
Intending importers should forward applications to the undersigned, stating the quantity they desire to import, also date when and port where the wheat is to be imported.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
