RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Rangitikei Racing Club at a meeting held on the 6th December, 1915, at Bull’s, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. J. H. Perrett, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

The following are the regulations referred to:—

RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB.

REGULATIONS.

(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Rangitikei Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (herein referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Rangitikei Racing Club’s racecourse situate at Bull’s, set apart for racing purposes, and known as the Rangitikei Racing Club’s course, as the same is described in the Gaming Act, 1908, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  2. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the part of the said Rangitikei Racing Club’s racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—

(a.) Bookmakers.

(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference or New Zealand Trotting Conference.

(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.

The foregoing regulations of the Rangitikei Racing Club were made and passed by the Rangitikei Racing Club on the 6th day of December, 1915, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

Number of shares forfeited: Nil.

I, Thomas Hubert Lee, of Reefton, the Secretary of the North Blackwater Development Syndicate (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare that this is a true and complete statement of the affairs of the said company on the 16th January, 1918; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

Total quantity and value of gold produced since registration: Battery—53,544 tons of quartz crushed, for 54,799 oz. 13 dwt. of melted gold valued at £221,298 0s. 2d.; cyanide—40,050 tons of sands treated, for 8,052 oz. 4 dwt. of bullion, valued at £22,678 17s. 1d.; concentrates—603 tons 10 cwt. 2 qr. 23 lb. treated, for bullion valued at £10,961 10s. 11d.
